Well, I'm getting very close to finishing off the book. I received final comments from the editor earlier this week..and forwarded the first half of the book to the type setter. I have some changes to make with the last part of the book (the implementation section, which I'm really hoping will be fleshed out with the wiki, needs work). At this stage, it looks like things will be wrapped up and ready for publishing within the next two weeks.
Any thoughts on the sample book cover?:

Hi Susan - thanks for the comments - I'll mess around with the "atom-like" image in the center (it's actually supposed to be a bit of a network :)).

Not sure - I think a "soft", muted , almost watermark, of one of your great diagrams within the book works better for me, e.g. fig 19

The cover has a real science feel to it. I wonder if you have visual consistency with this and the other visuals that flow through the text. Given that your ideas are across the disciplines, you might either shift the nature of the nodes in the center (it looks like an odd atom like model to me) or eliminate the sun-like rays in the edges (which I actually like). Not that you have time for this fussing given your deadline.......Maybe version two.
I am looking forward to the release of the book.
